How much is spent by consumers on furniture & furnishings in the UK
According to an official UK government survey of family spending, in 2014 all UK households spent £450 million each week on furniture and furnishings, equivalent to 3.2% of all expenditure. This amounts to £21 billion each year.
The biggest spenders were:
– those in the age group 30-49
– the top 10% of earners
– based in London and the South East
